Although my kids are too old for that dressing up and trick-or-treating stuff ~sniff~ we did have some fun this past week!

Every year our youth group goes to the WalMart and looks for members of our ward disguised as other people. It is usually a riot! This year I wasn't too creative, but Kyle had this idea: I went to McDonalds that is actually in the South East corner of WalMart and asked the manager if I could wear a McDonalds Uniform for 1-2 hours while the youth from my church tried to find me. The manager was all for it, so I wiped off tables for awhile. And out of 10 groups, only 2 found me. Even when I showed up at the church afterwards, people had a hard time recognizing me because I never wear my hair pulled up! What do you think??

Bryce dressed up as an elderly man, and was decked out with flood pants, white hair (thanks to a little bit of gel and some powder), a sweater vest, and glasses. These glasses are always the desired object at Halloween. They are ugly, big and . . . well . . . ugly. Did I mention that they used to be mine in high school?!?! My kids think I must have been nerdy, but that was the style back then. HONEST!

Then we did a little pumpkin carving. And the best part of all of it was roasting the pumpkin seeds! They turned out great this year, and altho it is hard to mess up cooking pumpkin seeds (You salt seeds and cook them - a real no-brainer) mine never turned out quite right . . . until this year! We were all thrilled with them! It must have been the extra virgin olive oil!

Hope your Halloween was a happy one!
