CRUISIN'!

We finally took the plunge - so to speak - and went on a cruise! We were all a bit worried about the whole thing, especially when we heard about the dangers of going to Mexico right now, but on a scale of 1 -10, we ranked our cruise an 11!
We arrived in San Diego on Saturday, and got to do baptisms at the San Diego temple! Celeste is certain this is the temple is she is going to be married in! It is so gorgeous!
We sailed out from San Diego last Sunday, stopped at Catalina Islands, then Ensanada Mexico, spent a day at sea, and then disembarked (see my wise usage of cruise language?!) on Thursday morning. We went to the zoo that day and to a BYU vs. San Diego State baseball game that night! (which incidentally BYU won! Go Cougs!) We came home tan (sort of), rested (kinda) but happy! And the best part about it for me was that there was no cell phone service the whole time! So my teenagers talked and laughed with me, and never texted or answered a call at the table! And on top of that, I never heard 'I'm hungry!' one time! Not even out of James' mouth! I am still relishing in the memories! And thinking about the big banner we saw when we entered the ship: "There's no such thing as too much fun!" But Monday we all go back to school and work and neither one of those sounds like too much fun!
This glass bottom boat tour was in Catalina Islands and we looked down into this black barrel that we are all seated around, where we could look at all the fish under the boat! It was awesome!

On the day we were at sea, there was dense fog engulfing the boat . . . uh . . . ship. Even though the sun was shining from above, we couldn't see anything but fog all around us. Anyway, the ship blew it's foghorn every minute ALL DAY LONG! We finally put in the ear plugs I brought and tried to go play miniature golf up by the fog horn. It lasted 2 holes before we couldn't take it anymore!

All in all, it was a great trip, and we will remember it for always!
