It's official! Basketball is now over! No more worrying about play time, shots made or rebounds missed. No more nail biting or head banging. No more shouts of exhilaration, or moans of desperation. My days of sitting in the stands and wondering how to comfort another son from a devastating loss are over! And altho I am glad that it is over, I know there will be days when I will miss the friendship that we've felt with the other parents, and players through 11 long weeks of games. You just feel something special for the people who you see at least twice a week, and who share the same emotional connection that you have with games, coaches and players. But for now, we are moving on. And for all of you who have been waiting for pictures of something other than basketball, stay tuned. You're about to see the Heuetts in a non-sports arena!
