It's tradition at our house to take everyone's picture on the first day of school and today I joined those ranks . . . . because it was my first day of school! I am officially a college student and altho I'm now called a 'non-traditional" student (which means old) I still feel young walking around campus.
I was totally nerveous for my first day of class, and didn't sleep a wink last night! Before I left, Celeste took this picture, and then I was off for my first day! I was a casual 15 minutes early for my 8:00 class which really identified me as "non-traditional'! When I entered the classroom, I saw a gal that graduated with James. She had gone on a number of dates with him and they were pretty good friends, so I slipped into the seat next to her and said "Hi". She smiled -lips together- and looked away. Then she looked back. "Wait a minute!" she said, "Are you James Heuett's mom?" I smiled and nodded! Yeah! Somebody knew me! We chatted about text books and schedules until our teacher - excuse me - professor, came in. She was wearing BRACES! No lie! Now I know braces aren't always a good indicator of a person's age, but I've never seen a man going through a mid-life crisis wearing braces so lets just say she was a lot younger than I expected. She was a great teacher though and I loved every minute of class. I took 2 pages of notes and even understood when she started talking about exponents and intersecting sets! Yeah for me! I was on a natural high all day! I love being in school!
Wait a minute . . . what am I doing blogging?!? I've got homework to do!!
