Tres Chic!

Every so often, a person finds themselves in the perfect situation to update their look!  So it was with me.

Ever since I have worn glasses I have been aware of those who wear glasses, the style of glasses they wear and how it makes them look.  Nothing can date you quicker than a pair of old, out-dated glasses.  Recently, it has come to my attention that my glasses have made me look 'aged'.  So when the side of my glasses broke, and dangled in defiance every morning, I decided to update my look. No more rimless glasses for me! They looked wonderful on gray-haired old ladies, but I was stepping forward into the 21st century.  It's fasion time and their clock had expired.  As I contemplated my new look, I thought about a friend who is a little older than me, and a little heavier than me but who looks so 'hip' and 'groovy' because her glasses are so in style.  So I mustered my courage, went to my favorite optometrist's office and tried on frames.  After many choices, and trying to visualize the new fasionable me, I narrowed my choices down to 3.  Some of my family members give me a very fasionable opinion but not necessarily what looks good on me. Others give me their opinion of what totally looks good on me whether it's in style, or whether the pioneers wore them across the plains.  So confidently I marched over to Erin's work (conveniently located 2 doors down from my favorite optometrist's office) and asked for her opinion.

"Frame #2" she said with conviction.  I trusted her opinion and marched back over to the afore mentioned office, secure in the knowledge that these would make me look 'with-it'. I ordered frame #2 before I lost my confidence.

The first day I wore them, I also wore an orange sweater.  Then I came home feeling like. . . . well . . . . does anyone watch Scooby Doo?

Now, one week later I am 'stylin'. I'm in the rythem and getting my groove on.   No need to fear, you may still recognize the 80's hairstyle going on, but when you look at my face it has 'chic' written all over it.
Now if I can just keep from making a spectacle of myself! haha

PS Thanks Liz for the excellent cell phone camera advice! You are awesome!
