Why I love Cedar City in the Fall

I just can't help . . . no! Not falling in love with you!  I just can't help telling you again why I love the fall and especially here in Southern Utah!

#1 The Skyfest!

Each fall, ballooneers take to the sky and give us a reason to look up!  It is called SkyFest and it is always breathtaking and reminds me that some days I need to look up more. (Images in this picture were actually closer and more breath-taking then they appear!)

#2 Ridiculous Runners

This runner was part of the half-marathon that Kyle and Erin Jo and Brian ran this past weekend. (To be blogged about at a later date.)  I don't know - how old would you say he is? 114?  Or maybe he is one of the three Nephites in disguise as a long distance runner in the Cedar Canyon half marathon! Whatever the case may be, he must be in better shape than I am so my hats off to you Mr. long white haired bearded man with the glasses and the flesh colored shirt!

#3 School is in session!

Like many of you I don't like to see the years roll by too quickly but school in session means order instead of chaos, and a schedule insead of come-what-may!  It means no more "I'm so bored" and less of "There's nothing to do!".  It means mother is happy and when mother is happy  . . . . well, you know the rest!

#4 The changing colors

It is a breath-taking view.  And the air is so clean and so cool and so fall-ish!  It reminds me that hot, sticky, sweaty summer days don't last forever, and that the vivid, vibrant colorful leaves are our reward for enduring the sweltering summer heat!

'I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me!'

Oh what great pictures!

I missed Skyfest! I loved looking out my bedroom window and seeing the balloons just across the street in the park. It was always so awesome! My pictures never looked as cool as it looked in person, either.

I loved your fall foliage picture! How pretty. I've begged Steve to take me up the canyon this weekend so we can look at the fall colors. I can see that the leaves are changing but I want to see them up close!

I hope Celeste has a wonderful senior year!
