I thought I had died . . .

When some people die, they see a bright light.

Not Me.

I thought I had died and gone to heaven this morning when I woke up and saw this:

No - this isn't a picture of power lines! That's right - it was a fresh blanket of snow with flurries wafting through the air!  It looked like a snow globe outside!  I was gazingh dreamily at the enchantment when my husband appeared with a load of wood from outside. 

He loaded up our wood stove and within minutes we had a crackling fire going.

I stayed warm literally all day!! Even my hands were warm!!

(Those who know me know what how impossible this is) I could hardly believe it myself!!

I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I didn't think life could get any better! I thought I had landed squarly in Paradise!! This day was a day like none other!!! But just when you think I had had my experience in 7th heaven, the day just kept getting better!!   After I went to a local craft fair (love those!) and did a bit of shopping (whats not to love about that?!), I came home and did crafts all afternoon!  I was walking on cloud nine!! "This" I thought "is what extasy must feel like!" as the fire roared outside my craft room door. I was LOVING life!!


And for dinner what else to have on this day from God?  The best meal for a cold snowy day:

Homemade chicken noodle soup with homemade rolls.

Days don't get much better than this! The only thing that would have made it better would have been a girls shopping trip with my daughter, sisters and mom and baking cookies with my grandson!  But since those people live thousands of miles away, this is the best day anyone could expect! And for me it was perfect!

Now that I am blogging (and have something to blog about!!) it is the perfect ending to the perfect day!

Some people can have their bright light.  For me, heaven is a day just like today!
